I posted a blog on terror attack on our country in which I expressed our helplessness. I found many comments to my writing but the one thing that came out clear was - all people think that now the time has come the civilians should do something and the government should not be relied as we cannot hope any strong action from it. But I’d rather say that we’re perhaps wrong.
A civilian cannot do any thing. The simple reason is that he is a weak entity. He has no power, no authority and importantly no time. In fact that is why we elect a government so that it acts on our behalf. In other words we can say that the government itself reflects, and it should, the feeling of its citizens. Its action should reflect the will of its people. But sadly it is not a reality.
Even when we change a government in the hope that the new government would now do what it should, and would not repeat the things that the previous government did. Yet we find the same situation prevailing. The same gloom, the same hopelessness. Surprisingly we do not have yet another alternative to establish a government that can really listen to its citizens and does accordingly.
I think the best think can be that those who think themselves good and responsible people should join politics in larger number. Though we have aslo the example that many a good man joined poiltics but ended to be what their other old corrupt collegues are. But this is the only way we can change the nation and society.
However how and from where the people should join politics is vital? What I mean is if we should simply join politics and end up like any other politicians or should we have some training or fix minimum qualification or should have any other alternative. This I’ll discuss in my next blog after my friends’ reactions and comments.
